Is Indonesia Expensive?

Overall the answer is no and Indonesia is a very cheap country to visit. The main island of Bali attracts a lot of tourism and therefore prices have been rising.

Despite this; average daily costs are still low and it is easy to find affordable accommodation, food and activities.

Is Indonesia Safe?

Indonesia is a relatively safe country to visit as a tourist. In widely travelled areas there are a few problems with petty crime so always take caution. Indonesia does sit on a major fault and earthquakes and tsunamis are common because of this. There are also active volcanoes so there are quite a few natural dangers, it is important to keep up to date on any changes via real government websites. The risk of these is relatively low but always something to be aware of. Always take caution when travelling and keep up to date with any news via your government’s website.

What is Indonesia Known For?

The several islands of Indonesia that travellers visit are known for mountains, culture but most of all beaches. You can find some of the most paradise-like beaches here. Indonesia is also home to many surfing hotspots of the world plus amazing coastal views.
