Location

The first thing that Nappiness Hotel offers is a great location: it is tucked away in the quieter district of Phra Nakhon. On top of this it is only a quick 10 minute walk to the busy streets of Khao San Road and Rambuttri Alley. Plus it is easily accessible by taxi, bus or train for further exploration of the city. The hotel sits on the canalside therefore selected rooms have a beautiful view from their bedroom window.

Rooms

Nappiness Hotel offers a range of rooms for different budgets which is perfect for any type of traveller; from couple to solo tripper or even families. The Smile Box King will be perfect for anyone on a quick stopover in Bangkok plus the Fun Family room will accommodate up to 4 guests.

And of course the rooms are set with every amenity that you could wish for. They are fully decked out with free WiFi throughout the hotel, key card access to each room, a daily housekeeping service if you wish plus helpful staff at the 24 hour front desk.

The rooms are decorated to a boutique yet simple degree and the clean effect is such a great contrast to the bustling Bangkok city. It feels like you can take a breath of fresh air once inside the room and of course makes you feel completely at home.

Food

Underneath the Hotel there is a unique Cafe who serve very nice coffee and some delicious Thai food. We had a delicious breakfast filled with very tasty fresh coffee and a Thai and English fusion breakfast with some insanely good eggs. We treated ourselves to some baked goods too and the brownie was a highlight.

Cafe Velodome also offers curated cycling tours which is something that we definitely want to try next time we are in the city. If you are a guest at the hotel you can join in for free on their Saturday and Sunday bike tours.

Our Experience

We were lucky enough to stay at Nappiness Hotel in a very nice boutique room called The Canal in Love Room.

Where to begin? The bed was amazing, the bathroom was perfect, the space was comfortable and the overall experience was great. We really were surprised at how comfortable the rooms were as the prices are very reasonable and you wouldn’t expect the quality of comfort that we received.

As with most rooms it contained:

  1. A Long bench and the possibility for a 3rd guest to sleep on this.
  2. A private standing balcony.
  3. Individual controlled air-conditioning.
  4. In-room safe
  5. 2 pillows per guest which were soft and firm
  6. A mini fridge, kettle and tea or coffee set
  7. Bathroom amenities: towels, hair dryer and slippers.
  8. 32 inches android TV plus an in-house telephone and USB charging

The Balcony opened up straight onto the canal which was perfect for a few calm minutes away from the craziness of Bangkok. We enjoyed a nice view of the Phra Nakhon area and really felt at home in Bangkok.

Our stay was nothing but comfort and we are very grateful to the kind staff and management for providing this.
